craft collection…hmm…getting cluttered?

by Rainbow Bobbins

The house is looking a little craft-attacked — maybe time to knit a protective afghan for the couch?

A Living Room Grouping:  1. Blue tray holding everything from IKEA 2. Bird: By Margaret Hudson – picked up on this trip (I think it is sweet) 3. Blue bowl holding planter – made in Winter Ceramics Class 4. Head vase made in ceramics class 5. Small fused glass dish in orange and green – made in Fused Glass Class at Aquila Art Glass– great resource for learning the basics of fused glass.

hmm…I will get better at this some day

And..recently acquired collection of beach wood from the Washington coast awaits…more crafting to come. I’m thinking driftwood mobile — I did some Googling for inspiration and found the pictures below – all sources noted and linked.

The wood is from Oregon! Lovely. From click picture to go the website

Here is a pretty and simple one:

Made by TheRubbishRevival – you can buy a similar one from at their shop on Etsy. Click pic to link.

Neat found wood mobile from artist Reba Steward featured on Live San Juan blog – (pic linked)

By the way…check out this drift wood project by NeSpoon:

Crochet Driftwood by NeSpoon. Found on Ajoure Blog – more pics at both sites.

Plans for the mobile project include driftwood and some bits cooked up in ceramics class. BTW do you pronounce it Moe-bill or Moe-bile (like the stuff in your stomach) or Moe-bull? I’ve heard it all ways recently…too many accents? How about in US West Coast English?
