Haunted Maize > Sauvie Island

by Rainbow Bobbins

Friday night we met up with Kira, Ally, Crystal and Ricardo at the Lighthouse Inn in Linnton, OR outside of Portland – an awesome seafaring salty dog watering hole. It was pouring rain out and we ordered some whiskey to steel our nerves for The Haunted Corn Maze at The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island. The rain stopped when we arrived at the maze, the stars came out, and the heat from the ground created a natural mist that was a perfect back drop for corn ghouls. This haunted maze is truly spooky – including a backwoods ‘pig man’ scene with chain saws and animal innards. There is a market on site with really good cherry rhubarb pie and brussel sprouts on the stalk – we left with a bag of both. Of course there are pumpkins too! Good times.
