Vegetable Garden > Progress Report

This Week in the vegetable garden:

Harvesting: the last of the potatoes, chard, green beans, herbs,  cucumbers, a couple of small pale carrots and the very first red tomatoes.
Planting: Nada –  but I’m planning a fall planting next weekend. More spinach, kale, winter cabbage, ect.
Growing: tomatoes, green beans, potatoes, lettuce, spinach, grapes, blueberries, zucchini, pumpkins, cucumbers, green beans, chard, sweet peas, herbs of all sorts
Gave up on: Actually, I’m feeling better about the Zucchini…there is hope yet.

DSCN8849The weird lighting in these pictures is due to a rare thunderstorm that rolled in on Friday around sunset time complete with a rainbow and pink and orange skies. Cool.

One side note: Here is the lone begonia that finally bloomed. Bad luck with the begonias this year aside from this one pretty flower:
