Actually we flew to Austin, TX rather than driving and spent most of our time on foot walking around FunFunFunFest. It was a blast. Some music highlights: Jurassic 5, Snoop Dog, Big Freedia, Kurt Vile, Subhumans, MIA, Television, King Kahn, Johnny Marr, Sparks. It was pretty freaking awesome. Here are some pictures from around the fest:

IMG_2148In addition to generally rocking Immortal Guardian also has synchronized hair flips down pat:

IMG_2253Great bands, great comedy, Shriner brewed a special beer just for the festivities, and the park setting has lots of spots to lounge around, ride a bull or get free swag like glow sticks or sunglasses:

IMG_2387This festival also has some damn good food – I highly recommend the smoked turkey legs, Kale/Cucumber juice and kababalicious. Every morning we had breakfast at Torchy’s but they didn’t make it to the festival due to some snafu over the taco cannon. Which is a shame ’cause Torchy’s is 50 shades of delicious.
