This week in the garden

by Rainbow Bobbins

On Saturday the clematis buds opened. I’m loving this little corner since transplanting the coral bark maple and adding some grasses, hellebores, trillium from around other parts of the yard. The Clematis makes for a nice back drop.

The Irises and purple Rhodies are out – part of the wave of purple blooms in early May. Not shown – a tangle of weeds in the Iris bed – next weekend’s project?

Someone has lost the battle.  The picture below is from a walk  in Goose Hollow — not from my yard…that would drive me bonkers. When dandelions are far from my yard I kind of admire them for their fun puffs and persistence.
